I shared an early morning breakfast with Haley today.
She sent me the above picture when she emailed to invite me out. That’s a good invitation.
Haley recently came back from a whirlwind tour of 4 European cities in a week for work: Hamburg, London, Amsterdam, and Antwerp.
You can see some of her lovely pictures here (and I think the Triceratops was from the trip, too).
But Haley said, with slight embarrassment, that her favorite part of the trip was actually a tourist attraction: Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg. It’s the world’s largest model train set-up.
Now, I’m not one usually very entertained by model trains, but this one extends through Europe to the United States in its scale! It’s massive!
And there are tons of moving parts and over 200,000 people in all situations of life, says the promotional video:
“Thick people! Thin people! Animals on trips? Working population. Entertaining fire eater. Very alive humans or no longer so alive ones.”
This is the best promotional video I have ever seen, I totally want to go there now. Watch it all, it’s totally worth it.
