I heard today that "amazing" is so overused it has lost meaning: Bringing AMAZING back. Stories inspired by a phrase familiar to me: "You're amazing but... I don't want to date you." Plus dinosaurs and music and other amazing things I make excuses for and amazing things that shouldn't be excused. So, basically anything I like and my crazy stories. Right. If you feel the urge, you can send me dinosaurs or other amazing things at: sarahtricera@gmail.com
I know I’ve been quiet on the blog front, but I felt compelled to overcome my blothargy (I figure that’s what you get when you combine blog and lethargy) because Coujo just informed me that today, January 11, is National Hot Toddy Day.
Otherwise known as warm whiskey deliciousness day.
It’s particularly terrific before bed and especially if your feeling a little sick. Some people swear by them to get over colds and flus.

My recipe (Notice there are no specific amounts. I’m trusting you to be a reasonable person who has a general feeling for tasting and mixing amounts.):
Honey in the bottom of a mug
Pour hot water into the mug about 2/3 full
Add a decaf black tea bag of your choice
Let steep for a few minutes
Add lemon juice
Add whiskey
Add a few whole clove pieces (if you don’t want to accidentally drink them, stick them into a slice of lemon and let that float in your toddy)
*If you do an image search you will see a lot of toddies featuring cinnamon sticks. Use at your own discretion.
*Also, you don’t have to add the tea, you can just use hot water. I prefer tea-flavored water.
*It should be noted that while whiskey (Jameson) is the superior choice, you can generally use any of the darker spirits (excluding beer, obviously).
However you make one or wherever you find one, Happy National Hot Toddy Day!
And Happy Wednesday.
