King Charles - Love Lust
Yesterday the song “If you want to be happy (for the rest of your life never make a pretty woman your wife…)” [Jimmy Soul, 1963] randomly played through my head and got stuck there for a while.
And then I heard this song and it seemed to be in the same vein (catchy and fun and kind of wrong and disrespectful but maybe a little true), so I felt I should post it.
Plus it will surprise you by changing styles multiple times in the second half.
Plus+Plus there’s a guy who looks very similar to this guy who hangs around the park every day and seems quite crazy. I haven’t heard an accent or singing fun songs though.
With such an infectious vocal part by the very eccentric Brit with Banhart-type iconic hair, a driving piano part accompanied with a simple clickty-clacking of drum sticks it is hard not to tap your foot.
